Featured On Care2.com

Wow, another surprise feature. It's boosting my confidence, that's for sure! I was checking out my traffic and stats as usual and noticed a considerable amount of traffic coming from the website care2.com. So I checked into it, and my gold button clutch made it in the 19 handmade clutches for fall list!

Check me out and other handmade artists here.

Featured On The Front Page

It finally happened: I made it on the front page on Etsy! I didn't even know, I just decided to randomly check myself out on Craft Cult. I searched for my name, and BAM! A result actually showed up. I might not have made sales from it, but the traffic was nice.

Sewing Class Supply List

I'm so excited! I am teaching sewing lessons at Hobby Lobby! It's in McDonough, GA. I am teaching this basic class on how to make the perfect skirt. Students should already have working knowledge of sewing.

Here is the supply list below (can be purchased at Hobby Lobby):

Suitable fabric to use are: denim, damask, pique, poplin, twill, lightweight wool and wool blends, brocade, satin, soft lightweight linen and linen blends, synthetic leather. Since this is basic sewing, I would prefer for you not to use double knit for this class or crepe, or suede. Those fabrics are for advanced students. If you are advanced in sewing, then we can use those fabrics which uses specialized needles and such.

Simplicity pattern 2343 Skirt in your size range

1 1/2 yards of fabric (45"in wide fabric)

1 yard fabric (60"in wide fabric)

Seam ripper (I have several of these as well if you need one)

Sewing Machine

Bobbins that are suitable for your sewing machine

Notebook and ink pen or pencil

Clear grid ruler (I have several if you need to borrow one)

I am suppling the zippers, hook & eyes as well as the thread. Please let me know the color of your fabric so that I can have the correct zipper and thread color in stock.

Large Hair Bow Explosion!

This has been a busy few weeks for me. Quite busy with working, lack of work, and work. That might not make sense, but it does if you are a virtual agent from home. I won't get into it, but it is life sucking.

I have been working on hair bows lately. Like I live in a factory working on bows. I figure if I get the chance, I will be able to sell them all. I will have a wider variety to show off.

Tool Box: The Cube Handbag

I have been hoarding this tool print fabric by Micheal Miller for years. I have a serious fabric addiction. I might sell some of my stash...HA! That will happen when I am buried in it and end up on that show: Hoarders, Buried Alive.

I have been a bit bored. I pulled out my sketch journal and looked at some of my older designs from last year or perhaps from 2010. I found a gem: my cube bag. I was inspire by bento box bags.

Over-Sized Bow Will Eat Your Head!!!

Monster bows are cool. The ones that I am making now are going to eat your head. Ok, it's not that dramatic, but it is huge! It is like a hat. This one is for the few, the brave, the cool folks.

I like this "ghost" photography look.

Fall 2012 Hunting and Fishing Trend: Hair Bows

On the runways for Fall 2012 Michael Kors and Tommy Hilfiger had the girls going hunting/fishing theme. Full of plaids, red, and oranges.

I took my own take on it by incorporating the tale of Paul Bunyan and Babe the blue ox. I plan on actually doing a bit of sewing to make a few outfits. I'm not too keen on the grandma trend-yet.

These are available for purchase here.

Tribal And The Bow

I decided to try out the tribal theme on some hair bows. I am starting to build up an inventory of bows. What is a girl to do with all of these bows!

What do you wear your bows with?

Tribal Print Shoe Love

I was not too keep on the "tribal, native print trend to be honest with you. BUT- then I saw these platform wedges and had to have them! I guess the trend did get a piece of me, huh? Are there any trends that you fell prey to before?

Vintage Style Hair Snood

Ah, hair snoods. The name "snood" is such a funny word. After purchasing this cool vintage hair style book, I have wanted a sexy pin-up style hair style. Check out this lovely mint snood that I found!

Chevron And Neon

Neon is all the rage. I thought that I would have my way with this trend and incorporate it into my line.

Like Sugar Cookies

Whew! That job has become my ball and chain. I have missed everyone and blogging! I promise that I will have my blog back and running.

I have been making new product for two shops while trying to hold down a job.

I sketched these cookies years ago, and finally created one version of them! The other version will made hand embroidered and made with wool felt.

Ready for your enjoyment
